Have you tried building better business relationships, but keep falling short?
The people in your life want to take your relationship with them to the next level. The only thing stopping them is you.
You have to give people a reason to want to help you.
The only way to do this is to offer what you can and make it an offer that magnifies your value. You have to think of ways to help other people reach past their goals.
The best thing you can do is offer people your help.
Level Up
I recently contacted a New York Times best seller. He asked for help on his blog. I jumped in and told him I could help him sell his workshops. I wasn’t sure exactly how, but it got me in the door. We’ve been talking on the phone and are planning something big.
I don’t know how successful our partnership will be, but that’s the fun part. I am leveling up my relationships by connecting with people in my niche who have a bigger audience than me.
I tell you this because you can do the same thing.
Ideas
You have just as much right to reach out to amazing people to see how you can help them. Look around at the people in your business social sphere. Who can you help?
I work with a client (photographer). He throws pizza parties for magazine designers.
He brings people together, so they can mingle and so he can help them. It works because everyone wins. The people he invites make new connections and he gets to offer his advice to help them improve their magazine layouts.
Building your relationships takes time, but each person can boost your business forward just a little bit. Believe me when you make enough people happy they let all their friends know.
Your Turn
Who can you offer to help?
What can you do for them that won’t take a ton of time, but gives a ton of value?
